Communicate — Participate — Relate

Beware of long silent periods where you don't feel like communicating with anyone.

Good heart to heart communication is a lifeline to recovery.

If you don't want to 'talk about it',
your friends will not feel comfortable in trying to comfort and help you.

It is not easy to participate in normal life during periods of grief.
Make early steps small ones and gradually increase your participation rate.

Work at renewing old relationships. Make real efforts to establish new ones


A Simple Prayer:

"Father in heaven,

It isn't easy to talk with someone when your feeling sad and want to keep to your self. I realise that communication and participation with friends is important for me to recover, so please give me whatever courage and strength I need to be strenghtened by the company of those around me.
Thank You, in the name of Jesus, the Great Physician."
