Often individuals and families don’t know which way to turn when faced with life issues and personal difficulties. ALFSINC exists to help people overcome the disruption and damage caused by negative life issues. Regardless of their political beliefs, social standing, creed, gender, colour, culture or nationality, support is offered to anyone through this website, interactive recovery groups, public seminars and published resources.

Our initiative is to reach out to people throughout the Commonwealth of Australia, particularly to those who are experiencing difficult circumstances because of geographic isolation, or by reason of various factors such as fear, embarrassment, lack of financial resources, find that seeking help is complicated, or unavailable. Our ultimate goal is to help these people to make life changing discoveries that will bring them lasting relief, recovery and hope.

The organisation does not exist as a referral agency and is not an advisory service, but is a service that supports people at their point of need by providing information for the care of their physical, emotional, spiritual, mental and social needs."

Over the years we have helped many to achieve positive changes in their lives through practical seminars, workshops, personal support group activities and our interactive web site.

The Academy of Life & Family Studies Inc. has no paid staff. Competent volunteers manage and provide all of our services. The board chairperson and directors receive no remuneration.

The Academy's finances depend on donations, sale and or hire of resources, grants and annual membership fees.
